About the performances:
SAGE /Queens Writing Group started in 2005 and is composed by LGBT older adults who use writing as a way to explore their creative process. The group meets every Friday, and is under the guidance of artist Hector Canonge. Presenting writers include: Astri Bronn, Pratip Dasgupta, Carl Eden, Ric Suarez, and Connie Vien.

Ahmond
is a singer-songwriter and instrumental composer. He has released two self-produced albums "A Boy You Once Knew" and "Monster & Minstrel". You can hear his music being played alongside other urban folk contemporaries such as Sufjan Stevens, Patrick Wolf, Beirut, and Regina Spektor on Adult Alternative stations and College Radio. The last track on his debut album was played on the first season of the HBO series Rome. The music is a balance of pop and edgy experimentation. Prior to Ahmond devoting nearly all of his time to music, he was featured in movies and commercials. He played Diahann Carol and Ruby Dee's great-grandnephew in the movie Having Our Say. He is currently planning to tour the US in the fall of 2010.

Mano A Mano
is a modern dance company influenced by traditional tango with a fusion of styles and inspiration. Founded in March 2010, and under the direction of the talented Argentine dancer, Walter Perez, Mano A Mano has been featured at the BLACK PARTY (Introduced by Liliana Jimenez), Latino Commission of AIDS "Cielo Abierto," CINEMAROSA, and other venues in Latin America and the US. For this event Walter Perez teams up, directly from Buenos Aires, with Alejandro Figiolo.
